Engineering Global Climate

The last few years have seen a developing interest from some climate scientists and technologists in efforts to deliberately manipulate the atmosphere, land or oceans to alter the course of future climate. Engineering of global climate raises many questions, some of which are explored here: What can historical precedents of weather modification tell us? How do citizens perceive these manipulation technologies? What ethical considerations do they raise? And who governs such practices?
