Diverging attention in the blogosphere on two concepts sorrounding the hockey‐stick debate: the attention on ‘Medieval Warm Period’ spiked in the period around Climate‐Gate (December 2009); in contrast, the internet attention on the much more important concept of ‘climate sensitivity’ was not affected, and has continuously decreased over the past 15 years. The health impacts of climate change are diverse and exerted through multiple pathways. Examples of the direct impacts include extreme weather events, while indirect effects involve quality of water and air. Population density and gender roles act as mediators of these effects on local population. Adaptation measures at different level are necessary to reduce the human cost.
