Definitions and dimensions of energy security: a literature review
Published Online: Sep 25 2017
DOI: 10.1002/wene.268
This review paper is focused on energy security definitions and dimensions. A comprehensive definition for energy security is adopted based on literature investigation, achieving a dimensionalization of energy security. The outcome is a set of 15 dimensions chased in previous literature. Then, each dimension was traced in all publications to find its frequency in the whole literature. Furthermore, all of these dimensions were studied in detail and additional parameters were defined. The relation of each parameter and dimension to energy security is stressed on.
