Abstract SYSTAT is a general‐purpose statistics package originally developed by Leland Wilkinson and now owned and developed by Cranes Software International, Bangalore, India. Its distinguishing features are a terse scripting language, a simple graphical user interface, a small footprint, accurate algorithms, and a comprehensive statistical graphics engine. Over the last 20 years, SYSTAT has had implementations of CP/M, DOS, Windows, Unix, and Macintosh operating systems. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
