Bottled Water: Explanations of a Global Trend
Who is drinking bottled water (where, what kind, what quality), what explains this global trend, and why does this matter, to whom or for what? These are some of the questions addressed in this Special Collection of bottled water research across West Africa, Southeast Asia (Indonesia), America (US, Mexico), and Europe. Calling attention to the increasing role of bottled water as a source of safe drinking water supply, contributions discuss how the impact of this trend is differentiated between individuals, and what this means for shifting societal relations and norms for safe water provision.
