This is an overview of some animals and plants, which according to an author only identified as Gutmann, could be used as weather signs. From top to bottom, we see different spiders, a gold fish, a so‐called “weather fish,” leeches, a tree frog, and a certain kind of thistle. At the bottom, Gutmann presents in this foldout to his Wetterfische, Laubfrösche, Blutegel und Spinnen, die sichersten Wetterverkündiger! (1842) different glass containers to house weather signs in.
