Targeted siRNA delivery using aptamer‐siRNA chimeras and aptamer‐conjugated nanoparticles

Cell receptor‐targeting aptamers can be directly conjugated to siRNA to form aptamer–siRNA chimeras or serve as an active targeting ligand to guide siRNA‐loaded nanocarriers to a target cell for targeted siRNA delivery.

Overview of the blood compatibility of nanomedicines: A trend analysis of in vitro and in vivo studies

Publications reporting blood incompatibilities for nanomedicines, in vivo (A) or in vitro (B). The most frequently reported blood adversity in vivo was thrombosis. Alterations on coagulation and platelets are in vitro endpoints corresponding to thrombosis in vivo; counted together, they are also the main blood incompatibility in vitro.
